The Friday leading into Valentine’s Day weekend (which was on Sunday) felt like a bit of a firestorm in my head which I would equate to an internet browser with too many tabs open. I wouldn’t bore you with the details, and yet I am going to bore you with the details. Since this blog is fresh and new and you don’t really know me at all yet, I figure it will be a good opportunity to let you in on some things about our life…

1. Homeschool… We homeschool! This is our second year. It’s wonderful and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to do it. Every day feels like a gift of time with our kids. However, that does not mean that everyday is easy. I think any homeschool parent would agree. Every once in awhile it’s not easy because the kids have bad/weird attitudes. Some days it’s not easy because life gets filled with other obligations and I feel like we’re burning the candle at both ends and squeezing homeschool in between. (I’m not a squeezer-in-betweener; I like quality, focused time to work on things, so when life is like that it frays my nerves.) There are times when it’s hard because human nature just kicks in and I/we don’t feel like being disciplined. Some days it’s not easy because, well, it’s just a lot to keep my brain wrapped around seven or eight subjects for two different kids. Sometimes it’s stressful because you just can’t help but wonder if you are doing a good job of providing a good education for your children. And lately, for most of the duration of this school year, most days have felt like a battle, because I’m pregnant with our fourth child.
